  Start by stripping away color complexity. Display pure black-and-white content. If you spot abnormal patches, streaks, uneven backlighting, or localized dimming/brightening, the problem likely points to physical damage (e.g., pressure marks, dead pixels), backlight failure, or unstable driving voltage. This step quickly identifies whether it’s a "hardware injury" or a deeper "color symptom."

Step 2: Primary Color Check – Pinpoint Faulty Channels!

  If grayscale appears normal, focus shifts to signal processing. Conduct individual red, green, and blue tests. Display full-screen pure red, green, and blue sequentially. Observe carefully: Is any color missing? Abnormally dim? Or showing unexpected tints? For example, pink/yellow spots during a red test indicate issues like damaged sub-pixel circuits, loose FPC flex cables, or faulty color-channel outputs in the driver IC.   If issues persist, the culprit may lie in hardware-software communication protocols—specifically, color data order! LCD screens may use RGB or BGR subpixel arrangements. If your mainboard (MCU/SoC) outputs data in RGB order while the LCD screen defaults to BGR (or vice-versa), colors will invert entirely (e.g., red becomes blue)! Always cross-check screen specs with platform driver settings, ensuring Color Format or Pixel Order aligns perfectly. This step bridges the "color language gap," restoring accurate visuals.
