There are generally two types of commonly used oximeter displays on the market, OLED displays and TFT color screens.

The 0.96-inch OLED yellow blue dual color display screen - OLED screen is characterized by a cold light screen, soft display, and OLED display technology that is different from traditional LCD display methods. It does not require backlighting and uses a very thin organic material coating and glass substrate (or flexible organic substrate). When current passes through, these organic materials will emit light. Moreover, OLED display screens can be made lighter and thinner, with a larger viewing angle, and can significantly save power consumption.

The OLED display screen commonly used in the early stage of blood oximeters has a high unit price and good display effect. The 0.96-inch TFT color screen TFT LCD display is characterized by being cheaper than OLED displays, stable in supply, and diverse in color. Due to its extensive use in smart wear, the unit price is relatively low. The reason why the 0.96-inch TFT LCD screen is widely used is mainly because the market for smart wear is dominated by TFT 0.96, and smart wear itself also comes with blood oxygen and heart rate tests. In addition, technically speaking, the interfaces of OLED and TFT screens are very similar, and the technological changes are not significant, so the cost of upgrading is not high, which paves the way for the application of TFT in oximeters.
